poem – forget-me-not

Hello :) Today I’m sharing a poem that I wrote this week. It’s a little on the sad side, which I generally find easier to write! With all the forget-me-nots in the garden at the moment I felt inspired to write a poem with that title. Having already written about the flower, The Forget-Me-Not, I turned instead to the blackbird for inspiration and his beautiful voice.

After I’d finisihed writing I felt inspired to dig out some of my favourite poems by the Brontë’s, which I am sure this poem was inspired by. If you’d like to read them, here they are, in no particular order:

Parting – Charlotte Brontë
Song – Emily Brontë
Hope – Emily Brontë
Lines Composed in a Wood on a Windy Day – Ann Brontë

Thank you for stopping by, I’ll be back soon, Natasha :)

P.S. my layout was created with my own digital scrapbooking kit “Spring Adventure”.
