travel

travel – make a journey, typically of some length

Down the lane I walked is about a little journey. Reminding us that however long or short our travels are, don’t forget to take notice the little things along the way. Like the flowers by the wayside. Sometimes it’s the little details that make the difference to our travels. The little things that make the trip all the more worthwhile.

Down the lane I walked

Down the lane I walked,
Until I reached a gate,
The path it carried on until,
A field of green grass it became.

Whilst I walked I found,
Flowers by the wayside,
All a bloom, beautiful and new,
Pretty colours in every hue.

When the season changes,
The flowers like the leaves,
Will slowly fade away,
To return on a a new spring day.
